Hello Eve. Thank you for reading. I RSP my SRS with OCBC bank. I checked with DBS before and they do not have a SRS RSP. Philips POEMS also allow RSP into the STI ETF, but do not allow SRS funds. So in the end, I did it with OCBC. Hope this answers 🙂

Thanks! So, if I have already have an a/c with DBS. I can’t do that. I wonder if the bank allows a switch to OCBC. Your plan seems low risk and good for passive investment. Thanks!

No worries. The banks allow a switch. You have to go to the new bank and sign some forms to switch. But check with the banks directly. The switch is free but I am not sure if they allow the existing SRS investments to switch over for free as well.
My SRS plan is part of the bigger picture. It is just one of the pillars. But it allows tax savings and fuss free RSP. Better than leaving it in the SRS account 🙂

Very much enjoyed your article. You mentioned something intriguing – apologies if you’ve address elsewhere on your blog – about saving your entire monthly income and living off passive income. Can you share the various types of passive income you generate?

dear sir, your blog is inspirational! Incidentally, I work in the same company as you do, in the business of education. I share the same philosophy as you, in terms of gaining financially freedom and independence. I’m also an amateur investor and do hope to be able to semi-retire in the next 10 years to start living life more fully without having to work from 6.30 am to 5 pm everyday. Do you invest in US equities?
